An Act To create a basis for Banduria's Immigration system
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED, as follows:
§1 - Department of Immigration
- 1- The Government of Banduria shall establish the Department of Immigration as a subsection of the Foreign Ministry.
- The Department of Immigration shall manage and regulate policy related to Immigration as well as the design and distribution of Official Immigration Documents.

Asylum Forms
Immigration Forms
Refugee Forms
Temporary or Permanent Immigrant Travel Documents - Forgery of Official Immigration Documents is illegal under Section 3, Clause 52 of The Revised Bandurian Penal Code, and perpetrators of forgery shall be punished under said law. The Department of Immigration shall form a Forgery Crimes Subdepartment tasked with investigating and preventing Forgery and Forgery-related crimes.

- 3- The Foreign Minister can, at the Prime Minister's Discretion, block the distribution of visas to citizens of a certain nation. The Foreign Minister must have a valid reason to do so, and the action can be overturned by the Supreme Court or by Parliamentary vote.
§2 - Visas
- 1- Visitor Visas can be distributed at the discretion of The Department of Immigration to citizens of foreign nations wishing to visit Banduria for no more than sixty days. Visitor Visas can only be used for the following reasons:
Tourism/Vacation
Visiting Friends and Relatives
Consulting with Business Associates
Attending a scientific, educational, professional, or business convention/conference
Medical Treatment. - 1a- Visitor Visas May not be used for:
Employment
Study
Performances before a paying Audience
Work as an international press member
[li]2- The Department of Immigration shall assign a certain amount of Residency Visas to multiple categories based on potential applicants, as well as certain restrictions on applicants of said categories. The categories and base requirements are as follows:
•Family Visa - Requires an immediate Family Member or Spouse to be a Citizen of Banduria.
•Employment Visa - There are Three Types of Employment Visas. Skilled Worker Visas require at least two years of training and/or education for a certain job. Unskilled Worker Visas don't require any additional training for a certain job. Special Worker Visas require applicants to be either religious workers or enlisted in the Bandurian Military.
•Adoption Visas - Requires the applicant to be under the age of 18 and up for adoption in Banduria via a foreign adoption program.[/li]
[li]3- Residency Visas are required to be renewed after one year of Occupancy. Visa holders shall be notified a month before their visa expires, and shall be given a grace period of two weeks after their Visa has reached the One Year point, and shall be notified when the grace period starts.[/li]

§3 - Asylum, Deportation, and Immigration Courts
- 1- State Governments shall form immigration courts for areas in their jurisdiction. The Judges that are appointed to these courts shall oversee Asylum and Deportation Cases.
- 2- Citizens of Foreign Nations can apply for Asylum in Banduria, in which case the applicant shall be granted temporary entry into Banduria while they assemble their case for Asylum. They will make their case in front of the local immigration judge, after which the judge can either grant their asylum request and grant them residence, or deny their request.
- 3- Any person entering or residing in Banduria illegally shall be detained and scheduled a court date before an Immigration Judge. The Judge can chose, depending on the case, can chose to reinstate an expired visa, or deport the defendant to their country of origin.
- 3a- Asylum and Deportation Defendants have the right to government appointed counsel if they cannot afford counsel.
