Firearms Act
Author: Floortje Cheung (UCP)
An act to restrict the purchase of firearms and ammunition in Banduria
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED, as follows:

- Firearms, of all kinds, will no longer be available to purchase or carry legally, with certain groups and use cases exempted.
- Exceptions;
- Police, military, and other law enforcement agencies.

- Museums are permitted to purchase firearms with historical value. This includes guns, cannons, anti-aircraft devices, and other historical firearms. Anti-aircraft devices and high-calibre machine guns must be de-activated before display in a museum, but guns and cannons are still permitted without de-activation.

- Penalties for illicit firearm possession;
- Five years in gaol and five lashes with a cane for any firearm found on a person, or in a domicile.
- If a firearm is found to be used in a violent crime, the penalty is upped to a minimum of 25 years in gaol and 15 lashes with a cane.
