Evangelical Lutheran Church in Banduria - Religious Body Secretary of the General Synod: Rev. Erik-Jan Cakradewa Orientation: Lutheran Organization: Presbyterian polity Location: Throughout Banduria, though concentrated in several urban centers Size: 0.3% of the population Background: The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Banduria (Dutch: Evangelisch-Lutherse Kerk in Bandurië, abbreviated ELKB) is a Christian denomination in Banduria. It is a relatively small denomination, but has a long history in the country. Lutherans were the only other Protestants aside from members of the established Dutch Reformed Church allowed to emigrate from Europe to the Dutch North Indies, and the Dutch East India Company only allowed them to settle in several cities. A sizeable portion of the Lutheran migrants to the Dutch North Indies were ethnic Dutchmen, but most of them were descendants of Scandinavian and German immigrants to the Netherlands. Once the Dutch Reformed Church was disestablished in the wake of the Batavian Revolution and restrictions on other religions were lifted in the early 19th century, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Kingdom of the Netherlands gained a more substantial presence in the Dutch North Indies as a result of further emigration from Europe, freedom of movement within the Dutch North Indies, and later missions to other populations, particularly with Indonesians and other Malays. The Bandurian branch of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Kingdom of the Netherlands split off from its mother church in 1951 after Banduria became a republic, forming the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Banduria and adopting a Presbyterian polity upon its independence. The ELKB is a relatively small denomination, claiming only 0.3% of the population. Due to its small size, it has been forced to be a relatively broad church, including adherents of conservative, moderate, and liberal theologies. It is one of the few churches in Banduria and South East Asia that ordains women and recognizes gay marriage. Most ELKB members are Indonesians, Malays, Europeans, and Eurasians, ELKB members being a very small minority within each group. Supports: Lutheranism Does not Support: Bigotry

Conservative Party Former Political Party Account Name: Van Hool Islands Objective: Be in government. Political Affiliations: Conservatism, liberal conservatism, big-tent, libertarianism (faction) Location: Banduria Background: The Conservative Party was founded in 1986 in the midst of the Orange Revolution as one of the first political parties to be founded after the restoration of democracy. Conservatism has a long history in Banduria, and the Conservative Party can trace it's origins to the Christian Democratic Party which existed from 1910 until 1965. The CDP was originally a Dutch Protestant-focused religious interest party, but changed focus into being the main catch-all party for conservatives of all religions. The party formed government twice from 1930 to 1932, and again from 1950 to 1954. The CDP, along with most political parties other than ones allied to him, was banned in 1965 by Iskandar De Wit. Former MP Johannes Dijkstra was a major participant in the Orange Revolution, rallying together conservatives and officially forming the CP in 1986. In the 1986 election, the Conservatives got enough seats to form the official opposition. Dijkstra became known for his matter-of-fact personality and ruthless attacks on the government, leading to him being expelled from the chamber on several occasions. Dijkstra resigned in 1994 following a spending scandal that resulted in the resignation of him and 4 other Conservative MPs. The following 1994 general election would also result in the Conservatives dropping from second place in the party rankings, down to fourth place. The Conservatives after this point would mostly focus on wealthy urban and suburban neighbourhoods, and specifically targeted Eurasians and moderate Europeans as voters, with a significant base in wealthier Chinese communities as well. The 2005 election would result in their worst result yet, netting just 5 seats in total. In 2007 the new Unity and Consolidation party was formed as a new catch-all conservative party, and the Conservatives officially dissolved a year later in 2008. Of the five MPs, three would join the UCP, including Floortje Cheung, the longest serving Conservative MP at the time and one of only two to keep their seats in the 2005 general election. The other two became independents. Cheung is now the only former Conservative left in the Parliament, with the last Conservative, Putri de Laar, resigning his seat in 2015. Some attempts have been made to revive the Conservative party as a more right-wing and issues-based party than the UCP, with the recent divides in UCP ranks being cited as a reason for a more cohesive and less catch-all party. The New Conservative Party (NCP) is the largest of these groups, holding two council seats in Boschstad and Langeveld respectively. Rumours have spread about Cheung reviving the Conservative party, but she has denied all of them, instead advocating for unity within the UCP. Supports: Conservatism, multi-ethnicism, Eurasians, fiscal liberalism, small government Does not Support: Big governments, China, racism, communism Any Questions from the Public to be answered?[/b] - *ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS HERE - COME UP WITH THEM YOURSELF, OR ADD QUESTIONS YOU'VE ANSWERED FROM OTHER PEOPLE ON THE FORUMS*[/ul]

Chow was born on the 8th of November 1952 in Van Hool, Simonsveld State, Banduria. Chow's parents were both of relatively high status, with his father being a wealthy banker from Bloemenwijk, and his mother a socialite who was born in Macau but emigrated to Banduria after the Second World War. Chow's familial status ensured him a good education, with Chow being sent to the prestigious Steerkesdorp Academy, a boarding school operated by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Banduria. Chow's studies were cut short by the rise of the dictator Iskandar De Wit, who closed several prestigious schools and universities to close, including the Steerkesdorp Academy. Chow's family decided to flee Banduria in 1966, settling as political refugees in Vancouver, Canada. There, Chow would finish secondary school and would attend the University of British Columbia, and attaining a law education at the Peter A. Allard School of Law. Chow graduated with a Juris Doctor in law in 1979, beginning to work at a law practice in Richmond, a suburb located south of Vancouver. Chow would meet his future wife, fellow lawyer Anita Ma, at the law practice. The two started dating soon after they met, and they married in 1983. Chow became involved in local politics around this time, initially pursuing an ultimately unsuccessful run for Richmond City Council in the 1983 municipal election, and would eventually mount a successful campaign in the 1986 election, sitting as an independent. Around this time, Chow heard of the end of De Wit's time as dictator, and in 1988 would move back to Banduria with his wife and two children, settling in the city of Bloemenberg, the capital of Steerkesdorp state where he lived in his upbringing. Chow's third child and second daughter, Michelle, was born in Bloemenberg in 1990, the same year that Chow joined the Democratic Party and unsuccessfully pursued selection in the seat of Kleinhoek, instead coming in second plce to Kenneth Tsai. Tsai died unexpectedly in 1991, and his death triggered a by-election which Chow was granted the Democratic selection for due to him coming in second in the previous selection race. Chow would easily win the by-election due to a strong Democratic base in the area. Chow would spend his first ten years in politics as a backbencher, but in 2001 was made Shadow Transport Minister by the Democratic leader Eric De Jong. Chow would eventually gain a real cabinet position after the 2002 election, which resulted in the Democratic party entering the coalition government, with Chow being given the position of Foreign Minister. During his ministership, Chow fostered closer bonds with Singapore and Hong Kong, and was a valuable asset for relations with the Commonwealth and USA, attributed to his well-developed English skills gained during his time in Canada. Chow would remain minister until 2006 when the election resulted in the Democratic party returning to the opposition, and Chow would become Shadow Environment Minister. Chow was given the position of Shadow Defence Minister in 2010, and in 2013 would resign from the House to pursue other political venues. Chow was given the ambassadorship to Canada in 2014, a position he would hold until 2017 when he resigned to run for President of Banduria. This election resulted in a decisive victory for Chow, beating out runner-up Karen Langbroek iby a 70%-30% result in the final round. Chow's presidential term has been a quiet one since 2017, as the position of President is mostly ceremonial. Chow has travelled extensively compared to other Presidents, and has travelled five times to Singapore alone. Some have ccriticised Chow's travel habits, accusing him of using the position to go on holiday, while his supporters have cited improving relations with other nations as an important major goal of the President, and that travel is a part of imrpoving relations with other nations. In terms of his personal life, Chow enjoys painting and music, and is also an avid skier and cyclist. Chow's youngest daughter Michelle is a successful actress, who has appeared in several Cantonese and Dutch-language dramas in Banduria and Hong Kong, as well as the successful Cantonese-language comedy-drama political satire series The Life of a Former Mayor, playing the main character's girlfriend and eventual wife. Chow is also an avid car enthusiast, and owns several classic cars, mostly of British origin. Chow describes his religious beliefs as agnostic, but identifies culturally as a Buddhist. He speaks three languages, Cantonese, English, and Dutch. She was the second child, and first daughter of her parents. When XJJ was 11 years old, her older brother was caught by dictatorship authorities trying to make dynamite. Her brother's dynamite workshop was connected to the recent bombing of a police outpost in the district. Her brother was imprisoned and "disappeared", and that night, national guardsmen came to her house, poured gasoline, and set her house ablaze. This moment would weight heavy on XJJ's memory forever. Xie Jia Ju worked as a spy and informant for the RPP's guerilla activities. She began working in that capacity at 11 years old following in the footsteps of her father who fought for the RPP, and who was moved by the Communist revolution going on in Mainland China. During her teenage years, she helped hide explosives, hide fugitives, mislead police and authorities, all the while, she developed her leadership skills, soon taking command of a regiment of young female spies, seamstresses, and medics for the RPP. As the Cultural Revolution occurred in Mainland China, Yushan began receiving more and more Chinese refugees. XJJ made it a point, even at her young age, to recruit RPP members from among those ranks, but in order to do so, she noticed how she had to distance the RPP from Chairman Mao because of his unpopularity among the Chinese refugees. It used to be the old colonial town, where rich Dutch and their servants lived. The population of the district changed with larger waves of Chinese immigration, becoming plurality Chinese. When Banduria won its independence, many Dutch people left and were replaced by new immigrants from SE Asia (Thai, Filipino, Vietnamese, Malay). The area acquired a poor reputation during mid-century, experiencing economic deprivation and rising crime. A new wave of Chinese immigration from Hong Kong and southern China began to renovate the area and increase the number of small businesses. With the advent of the tech companies, a few more Europeans and especially Eurasians began to settle in the area and gentrification began. The area has since become a bit of a trendy place to live, with new high-rise apartments and fusion restaurants popping up. The district has rapidly become higher-income, and skews anti-regulation and for lower taxes. Lau is a little more socially conservative than the district, but residents liked his business experience, commitment to pan-ethnic nationalism, and strong message on modernizing the economy. It remains somewhat of a "marginal" or "swing" district. Nederlandse Vlaktes Account Name: Martune Elected Representative: TBD via By-Election Population: 27,334 Ethnic Composition: Dutch: 50% Chinese:23% Eurasian: 15% Indonesian: 10% Other: 2% Background: This region was once a wild plains area inhabited by Indonesian peoples who cultivated the land for farming. With the arrival of Dutch settlers came a wave of farmers looking for rich farmland. Many settled down in this region due to the plentiful lots and wide plains. With this new agricultural work came the need for more farmhands and so many flocked to find easy decent paying jobs. It is now a relatively small community with no discernible voting blocs within. The most recent controversy is the death of their most recent MP, Hubert Aarts. The By-Election will be a turning point for this constituency and most likely paint the district as the district hasn't voted based on politics, but instead by popular figures from within the riding. Many parties are looking to dominate the constituency and eliminate the almost clan and family based MP voting happening there. De Staat (The State) - Newspaper of record Account Name: Van Hool Islands (free to use) Objective: Report the news. Political Affiliations: Neoliberal, centrism, radical centrism, civic nationalist Location: Nationwide, headquarters in Bloemenwijk Background: De Staat (Dutch for The State) was founded in 1899 as the Bloemenwijk Colonist, which merged in 1905 with the Boschstad Star-Mercury to create a new national newspaper, cristened The States Colonist, the first newspaper of it's kind in Banduria. The paper was originally heavily aligned with the Dutch government and colonial rule, and was unpopular with Chinese and Malay Bandurians, who favoured the various local nationalist papers, most notably the Bloemenwijk Hansard. An ownership change occured in 1935, with the paper being sold to Chinese-born newspaper magnate Lee Jei-Fan. Lee turned the paper around into a pro-nationalism, liberal-minded newspaper, focused on the nation's Chinese and Eurasian populations. World War II would spell trouble for the paper, and it's main offices were raided by Japanese forces and printing equipment was destroyed. After the war, the paper slowly began rebuilding, getting new printing equipment and during a time of great excitement for an independent Banduria, the paper became even more popular than it had been before with audiences of all races and ethnicities, instead of simply the Eurasian and Chinese populations it had previously targeted. The paper was officially renamed to simply The State in 1947, to reflect it's nationalist and anti-colonial stance. Bandurian independence would result in the paper taking a more cosmopolitan outlook on liberalism and nationalism, and the paper once again became popular with liberal-leaning Dutch readers. The 45 year period between 1950 and the rise of dictator Iskandar De Wit in 1965 would see The State become increasingly hostile towards De Wit. Under the dictatorship The State was severely limited and anti-De Wit articles were banned by the dictatorship. The State was one of the few newspapers to ignore government orders and continue to post hostile articles toward the De Wit dictatorship. This would eventually result in the banning of The State in 1972, and the newspaper's then owner, Johann Vanderbelk, would go into exile in Hong Kong, where the paper began publishing an international edition focused on Bandurians in exile overseas, as well as an edition specifically meant for smuggling into Banduria. De Wit's assassination in 1986 and the resulting pro-democracy revolution would result in the return of The State, with the paper publishing it's first domestic edition in 14 years. Publication of an international edition meant that Bandurians overseas who were now returning to the newly democratic country were familiar with the paper, and the paper became Banduria's paper of record, a title it still holds. The State International published a Dutch edition alongside editions in English, Traditional Chinese, and Malay. The rise of the internet saw the launch of thestate.rb in 1994, becoming Banduria's first web-based newspaper. Declining print media sales in the 1990s and 2000s resulted in The State International moving to a web-exclusive format in 2004, with all non-Dutch language publications ceasing in 2006, resulting in the cancellation of the domestic Chinese and Malay editions. The State's formerly classical liberal slant has morphed over the years into a more neoliberal, market capitalist world view, with a special focus on middle and upper class Eurasian and Dutch Bandurians. Over recent years, the paper has mostly skewed towards supporting the UCP and the Democratic Party, but does not support any political party in specific. The current editor-in-chief of The State is Helga Pietersen. It is currently the most popular paper in Banduria, closely followed by it's rivals, The Venetian and the Chinese-language Bloemenwijk Daily. Supports: Neoliberalism, free markets, immigration Does not Support: Racism, neo-conservatism, aggressive foreign policy, communism Any Questions from the Public to be answered?[/b] - *ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS HERE - COME UP WITH THEM YOURSELF, OR ADD QUESTIONS YOU'VE ANSWERED FROM OTHER PEOPLE ON THE FORUMS*[/ul]

de Landskrant - National newspaper
Account Name: Vedastia (free to use) Editor-in-chief: Frans Meijer Objective: Report the news Political Affiliations: National conservative, ethnic Dutch oriented Location: Nationwide, headquarters in Boschstad, with regional affiliates Background: De Landskrant (English: The National Newspaper) is a national newspaper in Banduria. It is right-wing and its primary target audience is the ethnic Dutch community, though its readership is much broader. De Landskrant's main predecessor, now functioning as a regional supplement, was the Roelofstadsche Dagblad (English: The Roelofstad Daily Newspaper), founded in 1905 by Juriaan Jordaan to report on local, regional, and international news in Roelofstad and in Roelofsdal. It had an editorial stance that highly favored the colonial government. In 1935, journalists affiliated with the States Colonist disgruntled with the paper's change in ownership and its editorial stance formed the North Indian Times (Dutch: de Noord-Indische Tijd) as a paper with an editorial stance against independence, heavily favoring the Christian Democratic Party and the Dutch Union. The North Indian Times increased its circulation, mainly competing with the paper it branched off from, the States Colonist. The Japanese occupation during World War II decimated the paper, and it had a difficult time reestablishing itself after the war. The Roelofstadsche Dagblad, which had recovered from the war much more quickly under the leadership of Sjors Paulis, bought the NIT and made the RD an affiliate of the NIT. The NIT changed its name to de Landskrant in 1948, shortly following Bandurian independence. The paper's readership shrank due to many Dutch colonists and Eurasians leaving Banduria, as well as Eurasians against independence who stayed shifting their readership to the State. de Landskrant's editorial stance favored the Dutch Union and its successor the Dutch National Party. De Landskrant was notable for its opposition to the De Wit dictatorship, with the De Wit regime assuming control of de Landskrant to create a newspaper with coverage favorable to the government aimed at ethnic Dutch Bandurians, renaming it de Volkstijd (English: The People's Times). Journalists previously affiliated with de Landskrant who fled the De Wit regime founded de Vrijblad (English: The Free Paper, known in its English editions as The Bandurian Free Times; Afrikaans: Die Vryblad) in exile in 1967. It catered to Dutch and Eurasian Bandurian expatriates, who mainly settled in Canada, the United States, the Netherlands, Belgium, and South Africa, as well as right-wing Dutch Bandurians opposed to the De Wit regime still inside Banduria who read newspapers smuggled in from abroad. De Volkstijd and de Vrijblad merged to reform de Landskrant in 1986 following the Orange Revolution, with its editorial stance leaning toward the NVP. It is a national newspaper, but its readership is markedly lower compared to its main competitors, even though its readership includes people not traditionally within its target demographic. While its main intended audience is Dutch-Bandurian conservatives, the readership is much broader, including Dutch-Bandurians, Eurasians, and some Chinese readers, drawing its readership not just from NVP supporters, but more right-wing UCP supporters and rural supporters of the Reform Party. De Landskrant's print edition uses the tabloid format, and while its reporting is sensationalist to the degree that is to be expected of the format, the aesthetic style of the paper tends to be more subtle and conservative than similar papers of its type. It owes much of its current popularity to its website, which greatly expanded its readership. While the paper has its own reporters, some of its international stories consist of translated reprints from sources such as the Daily Mail, the Sun, and the New York Post. The paper has often attracted criticism for its sensationalist reporting. Some of its articles have been accused of stirring up xenophobia and racism. Most notably, de Landskrant has never apologized for either its or de Vrijblad's support for apartheid in South Africa until shortly before the end of apartheid. Like many right-wing news outlets in the rest of the world, de Landskrant has been accused of collaborating with the Russian government and Russian media outlets suspected of attempting to influence the Bandurian political process. Supports: Conservatism, social conservatism, populism, free markets Does not Support: Communism, immigration, PRC, political correctness

Huaqu Ribao (Bloemenwijk Daily) - National newspaper (and Chinese-language newspaper of record) Account Name: Merni (free to use) Objective: To inform the people. Political Affiliations: Centre to centre-left, ethnic Chinese-oriented, anti-PRC. Location: Headquartered in Bloemenwijk, editions in Boschstad, Pietersburg and other cities. Background: The Huaqu Ribao (花區日報, literally "Flower district daily", using the literal Dutch meaning of Bloemenwijk) is the largest and oldest Chinese-language newspaper in Banduria, and the de facto Chinese newspaper of record. It is considered primarily unbiased, although it occasionally leans toward centre-left. Founded in 1887 as a weekly publication (花區每週, Huaqu Meizhou) for the Chinese-speaking middle-class and elite in Bloemenwijk, it became a daily paper in 1915 and gained its current name. During the pre-independence era the paper supported the NIIL and the independence movement. It was owned up to 1922 by the Chinese Society of Bloemenwijk, which comprised of the rich and elite Chinese-speaking residents of the city. In 1922, the Huaqu Ribao Trust was founded to manage the paper and prevent it from being influenced, and consisted originally of some of the Society's members as well as the editor. From the 1920s the newspaper started publishing editions in other cities. The Japanese occupation government in World War II banned the paper, and it was forced to return to a weekly format and was published and distributed secretly in Banduria, fuelling resistance against the occupation. At the end of the war the paper was quickly reestablished, and by the 1950s it had become the dominant national Chinese paper. After the coup in 1965, De Wit's junta seized the offices and press of the Ribao, replaced its staff, and used it as a propaganda tool to reach the ethnic Chinese people in Banduria, taking advantage of the well-established name. The old staff once again moved underground, and secretly published the Minzhu Ribao (民主日報, "Democratic Daily") in Bloemenwijk and Boschstad. The junta often arrested and jailed its staff for their detailed investigative reports and seized the illegal presses used to print it, but the paper continued and provided an essential source of true news to the Chinese-speaking people of both cities, and also provided some reports to other newspapers which were being published from abroad and smuggled into the country. The Minzhu Ribao was important in the Chinese community in gathering and coordinating the Orange Revolution protests that brought the fall of the junta. After democracy was reestablished, the government gave back the Huaqu Ribao name to the Huaqu Ribao Trust, and the staff of the Minzhu Ribao joined it. The Ribao retained its position as the largest national Chinese paper after 1986 (a position it still holds) and restarted its regional editions. The Ribao is printed in broadsheet format, vertically and right-to-left (traditional Chinese direction) in the traditional Chinese script. It is the least biased of all the Chinese papers of Banduria, having only a slight centre-left lean which has been maintained throughout its existence. It is, however, strongly anti-PRC, and has supported autonomy and freedom for Tibet and Hong Kong. It does not support any political party. The web edition of the Ribao is at hr.rb, and the Ribao has committed to keeping its web edition free, which it does primarily through donations. The Ribao is noted for its quality investigative journalism, which began in the De Wit era, in topics ranging from labour laws to government corruption to the oppression of Uyghurs in the PRC. It has been criticised by some for perceived bias against ethnic Europeans and rarely Tamils. The RPP sued the Huaqu Ribao in 2018 for claiming ties between the PRC government and the RPP; the case was decided in favour of the paper. Supports: Truth, equality, fairness, human rights. Does not Support: the PRC, neoliberalism, dictatorships. De Banduriaanse Pers
Newspaper Account Name: Agarntrop (free to use) Objective: Bring gossip, enjoyment, and infotainment to the average Bandurian Political Affiliations:Right-wing, pro-Dutch, anti-PRC, pro-ROC, socially conservative, anti-immigrant, pro-UCP Location: Has outlets across Banduria, but is mainly centred in Bloemenwijk and Boschstad. Size: Has around half a million readers. Typical Uniform/Attire: N/A Background: The Bandurian Press was originally founded in 1906 by right-wing ruthless Dutch business mogul, Pheter Klerkk, as a sensationalist printed tabloid focusing on simplifying stories and indoctrinating people from working class backgrounds into right-wing thought. It became the first predominant working class newspaper as literacy rates skyrocketed in the 1930s. It generally espoused pro-Dutch views from the standpoint of the Chinese majority, and became a major barrier to the NIIL gaining influence. Its most contraversial phase was when it published in favour of the Japanese majority during the occupation to save itself from suppression. However, this was officially retracted in 1947 and the paper eventually backed its ex-rival, the NIIL, throughout the 1950s in order to maintain a lobbying influence in the government. It withdrew its support from the NIIL in 1964, increasingly backing De Wittest policies prior to the coup. However, it still denies it had any knowledge of the coup beforehand, even after it was revealed it had had leaked correspondance with the NCAL in the early 1960s. During the 1970s and 80s, the paper operated as the main state propaganda mouthpiece for the De Wit regime, making outrageous and slanderous allegations about its opponents on various occasions. The paper was almost bankrupted during the 1990s, however support for the conservative party and later the UCP kept it afloat, and it eventually recieved a rebound when it opened its online section in 2008 and became a pseudo-gossip magazine with some of its content. It has been sued on several occasions for libel. Supports: Social conservatism, the UCP, the ROC, everything Dutch, social order, economic liberalism. Does not Support: The RPP, socialists, democracy, the PRC, communism, social liberalism, facts. WILLEM DIRKSEN UNITY AND CONSOLIDATION PARTY
Account Name: Ikania Occupation: MP Party Position(s): Member Positions in Government:None Constituency: Luyken Political Ideology: Traditionalist Conservatism, Bandurian Nationalism Family: Wife: Lieke Jansen (49) Children: Willem Dirksen II (36), Mathijn Dirksen (31), Liesbeth Dirksen (14) Background: Willem "Wim" Dirksen was born on March 3rd, 1954. He comes from old money, raised on a farm estate in Luyken: a rural valley of fertile soil at the frontier of Roelofsdal, populated almost entirely by Dutch farmers. The Dirksen family has a long history in the valley, which covers a large swathe of land to the west of Roelofstad. Tracing their history to the mid-nineteenth century, at the height of immigration by Dutch Calvinists to the area, the Dirksens maintained a large-scale farming operation which created immense profit. This lasted until a prolonged decline which began in the late seventies, which has seen a creeping downturn in the economic fortunes of Banduria's rural communities. His family being wealthy enough to afford it, he was sent to complete a post-secondary education at Van der Beek Academy in Bloemenwijk; he obtained a degree in business, and moved to the Netherlands in 1977. There, he founded an investment company with his Belgian business partner Thibault Forcalquier: FD Holding. After the death of Iskandar De Wit in 1986, and upon the completion of divorcing his first wife, Wim Dirksen returned to Banduria and sold his share in FD Holding in order to enter politics. He was first elected to the local council of Luyken in 1987, and went on to win election as MP in 1992, at the age of 38. He ran as a Conservative, though also claimed membership in the Dutch Farmers' Party, a local interests party which eventually dissolved in 1999. Dirksen's first marriage was to Annaliese van Eijck, a Dutch national. They married in 1980, and divorced in 1985 citing "irreconcilable differences." Van Eijck and Dirksen would reunite between 1987 and 1990, but did not remarry. They had two children, Willem and Mathijn, in 1984 and 1989. He later married Lieke Jansen in 2005-- this attracted headlines as he was 51, and she was 34. Lieke Jansen is a Dutch-Bandurian artist and sculptor with a history of involvement in the Conservative Party and later UCP. They bore a child in 2006, a daughter named Liesbeth. Wim Dirksen has come to be known for his strongly conservative views, upper-class mannerisms, and occasional controversial remarks. He is a traditionalist conservative, disfavouring any kind of separatist sentiment or regional autonomy. He is a staunch supporter of the Dutch establishment, viewing the influence of European culture to have mostly positive effects on Bandurian society. He supports the maintenance of Dutch cultural hegemony, including linguistic supremacy. Dirksen opposes same-sex marriage and civil unions, as well as abortion outside of extraordinary circumstances. He is an enthusiastic capitalist, firmly believing in free markets, and is widely regarded to sit at the right end of the UCP. Now at the age of 66, Wim Dirksen continues to be returned to Parliament with broad majorities by the culturally conservative, Dutch Christian population of Luyken. Dirksen himself is a devout member of the Dutch Reformed Tradition, his views on social issues largely shaped by the rigidly conservative philosophy of Calvinism. While some would consider his views to be outdated, his consistency and outspokenness on divisive issues have elevated him to a reverent status in western Roelofsdal. He currently lives on his family estate in Luyken valley, of which he is now the patriarch. He owns and operates a cheese farm as a passion outside of politics. He has been the subject of tabloid rumours in the 2010s pertaining to alleged marital affairs and involvement in shady investment schemes; he has declined to speak to the media about any such matters. Faith: Dutch Reformed Likes: Beer, Football, Willem II Tilburg (Eredivisie), Luyken Dorp FC (Bandurian League One), Classics, Cheesemaking, Blue Cheese, Wine, Chess, Dutch language television, Formula 1. Dislikes: Rock music, moral degeneracy, the Chinese, separatism, cannabis use, libertine philosophy, atheism, homosexuals. Any Questions from the Public to be answered?

Meaning "Yellow Mountain", it is called that way for the bounty of precious minerals that can be found under its mountains. Needless to say, this community has a tradition of mining that dates back to the Ming Dynasty in the 15th and 16th centuries. The mining industry lasts to this day, and the Union of Bandurian Miners (UBM) is a major force in the area. This province is also home to many subsistence fishing villages and rice-growing communities. During the time of the military junta in the sixties and seventies, this region and its difficult terrain gave refuge to many rebels and rebel activities. Religion: TBD

Lanling (蘭陵) Account Name: The Kingdom of Eikotomi Elected Representative: Zheng Guangyao Population: 92,000 Ethnic Composition:
66% Chinese 18% Eurasian 6% Arab 5% Indian
3% Malay 2% Other
Background: Lanling is an amalgamation of the words Orchid and Highland in Mandarin. The significance of the name stems from how Lanling was how originally the place where numerous orchid traders and florists set up shop to sell their beautiful flowers. The "highland" term originates from how Lanling originally had a series of hillocks that made up much of the non-beachside area, which was eventually flattened in the 1970s to make way for larger and more modern residential developments. Today Lanling is a very wealthy neighbourhood with numerous high-rise developments, a sizeable number of which are mixed-use. Despite the seemingly huge amounts of residents who can live in the area, the large size of apartments built in Lanling mean that population density is very much less than visual expectations would initially offer. Lanling is home majority to a large Chinese population and Mandarin, Cantonese, Dutch, and English are very commonly spoken here. Lanling is a prominent centre of finance and business, and is rated one of the best regions to do business in the country. It is particularly known for its vibrant nightlife scene as well.

Chow was born on the 26th of August, 1995 in Philipskrant, Banduria. She moved to Bloemenwijk at the age of 18 to attend the King's University in Bloemenwijk, attaining a degree in art.
