An Act to promote the preservation of Penghuni culture and language and education about the same.
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED, as follows:
- The Government of Banduria shall establish a Penghuni Culture Preservation Institute. The Institute shall be responsible for coordinating with universities and other research institutes researching Penghuni culture and language, and shall record all their findings for posterity. The Institute shall be tasked with compiling a comprehensive record of the Penghuni language, including texts, recordings, etc.
- The establishment of the Institute shall be funded by the Government of Banduria. Further funding may be obtained from private contributions or donations and by allocation made by the Government of Banduria in its budget. The Government of Banduria shall allocate at least 0.5% of the funds in its budget every year towards the preservation of the Penghuni culture and language, including but not limited to funding for the Institute.
- All schools must educate students in year 9 or older substantially and factually in the history and culture of the Penghuni people.
- The Government of Banduria and local governments in Banduria shall strive to provide as many services as feasible in the Penghuni language in areas where it has a significant population of speakers. The Government of Banduria and local governments are prohibited from discriminating against a Penghuni person or a speaker of the Penghuni language on the basis of their ethnicity or language.
